Speedy Recovery
Best wishes to Club Member Kevin Hughes who underwent knee surgery this week. The Club hope Kevin has a speedy recovery and will be back on the bike before long. 30/9/2011


Club Cycle Sunday 2nd October
Group A - 68 Mile Cycle
Group B - 53 Mile Cycle

Spinning classes  - Dungannon Leisure Centre
Spinning classes have been arranged for Tuesday nights at 8.30pm - 9.30pm. in Dungannon Leisure Centre.   There are 20 bikes available and the cost of the class is £5 per bike.

There are 11 sessions, and we need to ask for the money upfront. The first 20 people paid up will secure a place in the class. Names and money will be collected in Askins at 8pm on Monday 3rd.

This class is solely for the Clogher Valley Wheelers Club 30/9/2011

Spinning classes in Ecclesville Centre, Fintona
For Club Members interested there are Spinning classes taking place in Ecclesville Centre, Fintona.
6 weeks starting this week (week beginning 19th September)  
Monday 7- 8pm and 8 - 9pm
Wednesday 7 - 8pm and 8 - 9pm,
Thursday 7 - 8pm

Tour of Monaghan
The Tour of Monaghan takes place this Sunday 25th September. The event will cover a distance of 100 kms.
Sign on and registration takes place in Emyvale Leisure Centre from 8.30 am on Sunday morning with the tour starting at 10.00 am sharp. The route will leave Emyvale and head towards Castleblayney on the old N2 and go towards Cremartin, Ballybay, Newbliss where there will be a refreshment stop. After that riders will head for Threemilehouse, Monaghan, Tydavnet and back to Emyvale. Refreshments and showers will be provided in Emyvale Leisure centre after the event.
CVW members wishing to take part, meet at the playing fields at 8am.

Group C Run - Saturday 24th Sept
This Saturday 24th there is a run organised - Club Members wishing to take part meet @ 9am.
20-25 miles at comfortable pace.

Club Cycle Sunday 26th September
Club cycle this Sunday from the Playing Fields as usual departing at 8am. Routes for all groups can be decided on the morning. 23/9/2011

Club Cycle Sunday 11th September
Many of the Club members will be travelling to the Tour of Omagh on Sunday. Those travelling should be at the playing fields on Sunday morning at the usual time of 8am and can then leave together. Those not travelling to Omagh should meet at the usual time and organise themselves for a cycle.

There will be a club meeting in the next two weeks to discuss some proposals for future events. Date and venue will follow. 09/09/2011


Tour Of Omagh Sportive: Next Sunday 11th September 2011 Tour Of Omagh Sportive takes place - 
3 Routes 25/50/75 miles. Entry Fee: £10. Starts from Youth Sport, Omagh. Sign on from 9am, start at 10am Usual refreshments on route and at finish. Spot prizes up for grabs. 04/09/2011

2011 Lap of the Lough:  Congratulations to all Club Members who took part in the '2011 Lap of the Lough'. 20 Members from the Club completed the grueling 82 mile course with Colum McGarvey the first Clogher Valley Wheeler to cross the finish line.
