The Cycle Club was formed in Ballygawley, Co. Tyrone in February 2011 to cater for cycling in our local area and became known as Clogher Valley Wheelers. It is affiliated to Cycling Ireland -the governing body covering cycling in Ireland. The Club continues to go from strength to strength and we now have almost 50 members with numbers continuing to grow.

Clogher Valley Wheelers is centered mainly on touring and leisure with the emphasis on enjoyment of the sport of cycling in a safe way with the obvious attaching health benefits.

In Spring/Summer/early autumn, we go out every week on a few outings. Two groups leave the playing fields in Ballygawley at 8am every Sunday morning. You can choose which run suits.

Tues eve 7.00pm* -           35 mile cycle approx.
Wed eve 7.00pm* -            35 mile cycle approx.
Sat morning 9am -             20-25 mile cycle approx. aimed at new members (leisurely pace)
Sun morning 8.00am* -    50-70 mile cycle [A group (avg 18mph)]
                                               40 - 60 mile cycle [B group (avg 16mph)]

Sunday routes are posted mid-week on our website. As regards winter, we are looking at the possibility of spin classes to keep in shape but if weather permits we would try to get out as much as possible.
